Video
My current demo reel showcases every skill I’ve spent the last 5 years honing: editing, color grading, After Effects animation, drone operation, and audio/video capture, in addition to the unseen communications skills which make all of that possible.
All content is my own creation apart from the video portrait with Iris Bailin Broudy (the animation is mine), the vegetable slide images (I added postprocessing and audio design), and the license-appropriate music.
Julio Saqui is a chocolate maker using his Mayan ancestor’s methods to create artisan bars, truffles, and cocoa tea. I worked with another incredible journalist, Jeremiah Rhodes, to plan, film, and edit this project, and it’s the most rewarding work I’ve done to this day. Footage from this documentary was licensed for the chocolate episode of the HBO show A World of Calm, and won the 2020 CPOY Bronze award for documentary short films.
